Treatment for Veterans

Tapestry’s various locations serve both veteran and non-veteran clients in need of outpatient treatment for eating disorders, mental health and co-occurring disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Although Tapestry is not solely a veteran program, our staff understand military trauma as well as the unique challenges veterans face and are equipped to care for veterans with PTSD. Attending mixed population groups alongside non-veterans can be beneficial for recovery, helping clients to develop skills for re-integrating into civilian life after the military. Veteran PTSD is similar to what is seen in clients who experience non-military trauma, and the same treatment modalities can be applied.

Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (VA-CCN)

Tapestry is proud to be a member of the Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (VA-CCN).

The VA-CCN is comprised of facilities that are pre-approved to accept veteran benefits, giving them faster and more convenient access to mental health and substance use treatment. The Community Care Network (CCN) uses industry-standard guidelines to administer treatment and quickly pay for services.

A doctor’s referral and authorization from the VA are required to secure funding for treatment through the VA-CCN. One way to obtain these is by visiting your home county VA office to meet with a primary care doctor. Talk to your doctor about getting a referral to access the CCN for residential treatment at Tapestry.

We have admissions specialists with expertise in navigating the VA-CCN system, and we have extensive experience in working with veterans, the VA and the CCN. At Tapestry, we make it a priority to get our veterans the treatment they need and deserve.

When you’re ready to take the next step in your recovery journey, it can feel overwhelming or frustrating to navigate the VA to access your benefits. If you’re a veteran who needs assistance in accessing the CCN referral process or who is not signed up for VA benefits, contact our admissions team.

Unfortunately, not all veterans are eligible for coverage via the VA-CCN. We accept commercial insurance and self-pay.
