Tapestry offers a primary mental health PHP and IOP treatment program for adults ages 18 and up. This clinically integrated, trauma-focused program provides comprehensive treatment services with the goal of intrinsic change and meaningful engagement with the world.
The treatment philosophy at Tapestry is rooted in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and focuses on treatment of the whole person rather than one specific issue.
The core component of Tapestry’s treatment philosophy is that suffering from mental health issues is rooted in experiential avoidance. Disordered eating, substance use and isolation are examples of ways people attempt to find relief from biopsychosocial pain and distress. We believe that mental health issues have neurological, physiological, cognitive, emotional, social and spiritual implications that need to be addressed.
To be successful, treatment must provide a therapeutic environment where behavioral and intrinsic changes can occur within the context of collaborative relationships. We do not believe that one model of treatment or recovery is appropriate for everyone. Our treatment program is dedicated to understanding our clients as whole people with varied life experiences.
