Jennifer Tedder

Jennifer “Tedder,” MSW, MS, LCSWA, LCASA

Executive Director

Tedder has previously managed multiple retail stores, organized and led a community art workspace, led volunteer groups at expressive events, and worked in the non-profit sector assisting people experiencing houselessness, sexual violence and domestic violence. They graduated from Tulane University with masters degrees in social work and disaster resilience leadership.

Initially beginning at Tapestry Asheville as a therapist, Tedder saw and fulfilled the gap in operations-level work. As such, they were offered the position of Interim Executive Director in December 2022, officially gaining the title in February 2023. Tedder’s goal for the facility is to create an inclusive environment where people who identify on the LGBTQIA spectrum, female, non-binary and trans men feel comfortable and can access the services they need. As such, Tedder ensures that the staff of the facility are trauma-informed and trained in terminology associated with these identities and the issues they face on a daily basis.

Sandra Kahn

Sandra Kahn, LCMHC

Clinical Director

Sandra joined Tapestry Brevard after working at Tapestry’s Adolescent Eating Disorder Recovery in Fletcher. Prior to this, she directed the educational efforts at a private practice, while also offering treatment to clients as a credentialed process addiction counselor. Her focus includes trauma treatment as well as bringing practical acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT) recovery tools to Tapestry’s clients. She brings compassion and experience in an effort to strengthen clients’ resources in the midst of eating disorder challenges. On her days away from the treatment center, she enjoys adventures with her dog and the beauty that surrounds us in North Carolina.
